Please read the following carefully
to ensure the prompt processing of your RMA:
WARRANTY & CREDIT
1. Unless otherwise stated on the
original invoice or outlined below, Cotec Advanced Systems Inc. (CAS) provides a
ONE (1) year warranty on all products purchased from CAS.
2. CAS does not support the manufacturer¡¯s
extended warranty on any product beyond ONE (1) year unless otherwise stated on
the original invoice. For any manufacturer who offers a warranty on products exceeding
ONE (1) year, it is the buyer¡¯s responsibility to deal directly with the manufacturer
beyond the first year of warranty.
3. CAS does not warranty any products
that have been subjected to improper use, abuse or physical damage. Removal of serial
number(s) and/or warranty labels will also void such warranty.
4. INSPECTION -- buyer shall inspect
goods at the time of delivery and shall notify CAS of any defect or discrepancies
within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
5. CREDIT for returned products (except
for RAMs and/or CPUs, which shall receive credit within 48 hours and otherwise the
merchandise would only be replaced) must be delivered to CAS¡¯s warehouse within
SEVEN (7) days as of the original invoice date. The amount of credit will be based
on the current market value at time CAS receives the products from customer, unless
otherwise notified in writing by CAS. Credit returns will be subjected to a 20%
restocking fee. Products returned for credit after SEVEN (7) days as from the original
invoice date would only be repaired or refurbished.
6. All returned products must be
in new original packaging condition and all items and accessories belonging to the
merchandise must be returned in new condition. CAS has the rights to refuse damaged
return merchandises due to alteration, abuse, misuse or physical damage (i.e. scratches,
trace cut), removal of warranty labels. No credit will be issued.
7. DOA -- product fails to function
or damaged during shipment (hereinafter ¡°DOA product¡±), product(s) can be returned
to CAS within THRITY (30) days of the date of invoice (except CPU for 48 hours &
RAM is covered within 7 days). CAS will replace the DOA product with a new or refurbished
product subject to (A) the product¡¯s availability and (B) the customer obtaining
a valid RMA number.
8. There is no service charge on
fault CAS¡¯s products which are under warranty. Any other services (include software
and/or hardware configuration) will be subject to a charge a $30.00 per hour.
9. The warranty from CAS does not
cover damage that occurs in transit, or results from accident, alteration, misuse
or abuse.
RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) REQUEST AND RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
1. Return Merchandise Authorization
numbers must be received prior to returning defective merchandise.
2. Issued RMA number is only valid
for 7 days as of the date of issue.
3. Once you obtained an assigned
RMA number, the defective item(s) can be shipped along with the completed RMA report
in original packaging to CAS warehouse.
4. All RMA returns must be enclosed
with the original invoice.
5. Returned product(s) must include
all accessories and original packing, such as cables, diskettes and manuals.
6. All RMA returned CAS would test
merchandise. It requests at least 72 hours to perform the test and return process.
7. All RMA return merchandises or
replacements must be shipped by PREPAID only, CAS has the right to refuse all collect
shipments.
